Genital preference

A conversation in the r/Feminism subreddit about whether having a genital preference is transphobic or not.

Genital preference is described as the attraction to a specific sex over another regardless of their gender identity. The term genital preference is often said by trans rights activists to describe single sex attraction. Many TRAs use this term against lesbians in particular who do not want to date or have sex with trans-identified males on the basis of their biological sex. Lesbians who refuse to include “trans women” into their dating pool are labeled as transphobic for their genital preference.
